Privacy Policy

Effective: May 11, 2026

Sermoneer is a tool that turns one sermon into the week's content — small group guides, devotionals, cardnews, and shorts scripts — for pastors. This page explains, in plain language, what we collect, why, and what choices you have.

What we collect

  • Account info: your email, name (if you provide one), church name (optional), role, and the sign-in method you use (email + password, or Google).
  • Sermon content: the manuscripts and files you upload, plus the AI-generated pieces we return (summary, small group guide, cardnews, shorts scripts, devotional).
  • Usage data: anonymized analytics about which pages you visit and which features you use, via Google Analytics (with IP anonymization).
  • Logs: standard server logs (timestamps, IP addresses, error traces) for security and debugging.

How we use it

  • To run the service — process your sermon and return content.
  • To authenticate you and keep your sessions secure.
  • To improve product quality (aggregate usage patterns, error rates). We do not read individual sermons for quality review without explicit consent.
  • To respond when you contact support.

Third parties that process your data

We use the following processors strictly to deliver Sermoneer:

  • Supabase — authentication and database storage for your account and sermons.
  • Anthropic (Claude) and Google (Gemini) — AI model providers we call to generate the content pieces. Your sermon text is sent to these providers as part of the generation request.
  • Vercel — hosting for the website.
  • Railway — hosting for the backend API.
  • Google Analytics — anonymized site analytics only.

Each of these providers has its own privacy policy. We do not sell your data, we do not share your sermon content for advertising, and we do not let third parties use it to train AI models.

Cookies

We use cookies for two purposes only: keeping you signed in (an authentication session cookie), and Google Analytics (anonymized usage). No advertising cookies, no third-party trackers.

How long we keep your data

  • Sermons: kept until you delete them or close your account.
  • Account: kept until you request deletion. After deletion, account-linked data is removed within 30 days.
  • Logs: retained up to 90 days for security/debugging, then rotated out.

Your rights

  • Access — your sermons and account info are visible to you in the app at any time.
  • Delete — delete a sermon from the app, or email us to delete the entire account.
  • Export — download any generated piece as a Word file directly from the sermon page.
  • Withdraw consent — close your account anytime; no questions asked.

To exercise any of these, email sermoncompany7@gmail.com. We reply within one business day.

Children

Sermoneer is built for ministry leaders. We don't market to or knowingly collect data from anyone under 13.
